Tyler Henry, the 23-year-old medium to the stars, was busy in New York. Not only did the California native visit with Zarin Fabric heiress, Jill Zarin in Manhattan, but he hopped into a limo and headed to the shore to help Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and his now-wife, Lauren, find closure and alleviate concerns about Mike’s then pending prison stint. What came through the strongest, however, seems to have been a message for Lauren Pesce, and it was an impactful one from her younger brother.

What happened to Lauren’s brother Christopher?

Lauren has been open about the loss of her brother, Christopher in 2013. Pesce, now 34, has openly mourned the passing of her younger sibling but has been relatively tight-lipped about the cause of his death, until now. When meeting with Henry, Sorrentino shared that the younger Pesce had been living in a halfway house at the time of his death. The sober living facility provides services and living accommodations for those suffering from substance abuse issues.

According to The Asbury Park Press, Pesce, 25 was found dead inside a sober living facility in Rumson, New Jersey, just nine minutes from where the aspiring DJ grew up in Red Bank.  According to the medical examiner’s report, Pesce died from a drug overdose. His death was ruled an accident, but a year later a 25-year-old New Jersey man was charged with selling Pesce the lethal dose or heroin.

The sober living facility Pesce was living in at the time was rumored to be problematic. According to unnamed neighbors, police had been called to the residence on multiple occasions before Pesce’s fatal overdose. The halfway house was also the scene of a non-fatal overdose shortly after Pesce’s death, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

What did Tyler tell Mike and Lauren?

While the reading, facilitated through Sorrentino’s Jersey Shore castmate, Snooki, was intended to help alleviate Sorrentino’s concerns about his upcoming legal troubles, Christopher Pesce would not be denied his chance to speak. Henry touched on Sorrentino’s legal problems and impending wedding, before moving onto Christopher.

Lauren, situated outside the room, smiled as Henry informed Mike that Christopher was at peace and there was nothing that could have been done to save him. The reading helped bring closure to both Mike and Lauren as they stepped into the next chapter of their life together.

Following the reading, Sorrentino was sentenced to 8-months in jail for tax evasion. He married Lauren Pesce before his prison sentence began. He is due to be released in September 2019, according to Us Magazine.
