The grandson of a Mafia family boss will be questioned by federal prosecutors over the torching of a pizzeria owner's Mercedes Benz.

John Gotti, 22 - whose namesake grandfather headed up the Gambino clan - was issued a subpoena to appear before a jury this month, New York Daily News reports.

He will be asked what he knows about a feud between two pizza parlors in Queens, New York, including one where his girlfriend's brother is a waiter.

The eateries - Aldo's Pizzeria and Sofia's Pizzeria - have allegedly been engaged in a fierce dispute after Sofia's beat Aldo's to win a catering contract, according to the Daily News.

Last month, a Mercedes Benz belonging to the owner of Sofia's was mysteriously set on fire.

A 22-year-old Aldo's waiter Gino Gabrielli, whose sister is dating the young John Gotti, was charged with arson.

Now Gotti will be ordered to explain what he knows about the situation.

Gotti's lawyers claim the 22-year-old, who is in the midst of opening a tattoo parlor, has no involvement in the case - and accuse the court of assuming guilt because of his last name.

'He had nothing to do with this crime and we feel it is only harassment because of his last name and because he's the grandson of John Gotti,' his lawyer Gerard Marrone told the Daily News.

Gotti's father Peter Gotti was also involved in the mob.

The 22-year-old will appear in a Brooklyn court on March 16.

His lawyers say he will not answer questions by invoking his Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination.
