Kourtney Kardashian's wedding to Travis Barker on Sunday was hosted by Dolce and Gabanna, despite the fashion house's co-founder, Stefano Gabbana, once famously labeling the family the "most cheap people in the world."
Photos from Portofino, Italy emerged in which Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Scott exchanged vows at a lavish ceremony attended by their famous friends and family.
The bride wore a sweeping cathedral-length veil, embellished with Catholic-esque imagery, paired with a couture Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda lace and satin corset mini dress, which Vogue says was inspired by 1960s Italian lingerie.
The reality TV star, along with her sisters Kim, Khloe, Kylie, Kendall and their mother Kris Jenner were photographed throughout the weekend in Italy as they prepared for the nuptials, and in every photograph, they are wearing different Dolce and Gabanna looks from head to toe.
According to the Business of Fashion, the luxury Italian brand "hosted" the wedding and also housed Kardashian and Barker on a mega-yacht, all while staging a port-side pop-up shop for wedding onlookers.
The brand's founders, Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce denied that they had agreed an exclusive sponsorship deal with the family, per The Daily Mail, with a spokesperson stating that they were simply "hosting this happy event."

Whatever the reason, the endless stream of extravagant D&G ensembles on the world's most famous family has created huge online buzz for the controversial brand which has seen itself welcomed back into the mainstream after a series of scandals.
It is unclear what made the Kardashians decide to partner with the brand that once berated them.
In 2018, Instagram Fashion watchdog account Diet Prada reported that Gabanna had allegedly commented on an image of the famous family by saying: "The most cheap people in the world."
It was around this time that Gabanna was facing a backlash for describing a photo of Selena Gomez as "really ugly."

Controversies surrounding the brand date back years. One of the more prominent was in 2012, when they sent all-white models down their Milan fashion runway wearing colonial "Blackamoor" accessories.
The brand denied racism and released a statement explaining the cultural context of such designs in Sicily.
"Moorish is a term used to define many peoples throughout history…In Sicily's case it defines the conquerors of Sicily [from 827 to 902 AD]" the brand said at the time, per Fashionista.
D&G were also called out for racism in November 2018 when they launched an ad campaign that depicted an Asian model attempting to eat Italian food with chopsticks.
In 2015, Gabbana attended a party in blackface and in the same year both designers made headlines when they said they opposed the idea of adoption for gay couples.
In 2016, they launched footwear called the "Slave Sandal."
Despite the controversies, D&G has bounced back into the mainstream this year.
Apart from their new friendship with the Kardashians, the brand has also been worn by a host of other celebrities in recent weeks, including Gwen Stefani at the Grammys and Iman at the Met Gala.
