Darryl Jones is an American musician who is best known as the bassist for the Rolling Stones. Born in Chicago, Illinois in 1961, Jones began his career as a session musician, playing blues, rock, and jazz. He played bass guitar for Miles Davis on two albums before joining the Rolling Stones as their bass player in 1993.

Aside from his work with the Rolling Stones, Jones has also worked with a number of other notable artists, including Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters, Bob Dylan, Sting, Cher, Eric Clapton, Peter Gabriel, and Madonna.
